To play Huntingdale golf course is majestic but quite a challenge. No wonder it has hosted more Australian championship golf tournaments than any other course in the country. With narrow fairways, strategically placed bunkers, undulating fairways and large, slippery greens this premier golf course is a ball-strikers delight.

Located right in the heart of the world-renowned Melbourne Sandbelt district, Huntingdale golf course shares many of this legendary golfing regions distinct characteristics. The 18 hole layout features superb bunkering and wonderfully manicures tees, fairways and impeccable greens.

One of Huntingdale golf course’s signature holes is the enigmatic 341 metre par four 8th. With favourable conditions this green is driveable but the prudent play will have most golfers striking a long iron through a narrow chute between native trees to leave a short approach shot. This is where things get really interesting. The green is long and narrow but it’s length is angled from from front left to back right making distance control and accuracy paramount. Any mis-calculated approach will have you in one of the many surrounding bunkers or over the back down a steep embankment.
