Opened in 2006 and designed magnificently by Ross Watson the Pacific Harbour golf course, on Bribie Island, has matured into a spectacular layout. Widely regarded one of Queensland’s premier golf courses the Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club is easily accessible being around a one hour drive from both the centre of Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast.
This gorgeous course is adjacent to a National Park with many holes bordered by the lush coastal vegetation. Featuring more than ten lakes and beautifully sculptured bunkering the Pacific Harbour golf course offers many ways to play each hole. The masterful design not only provides a visually stunning layout, but also gives the lesser gifted golfer options to plot their way around.
Every hole at Pacific Harbour is truly memorable and fun to play. GolfAway has selected the stunning 384 metre par four 18th as the signature hole at Pacific Harbour golf course. As with most holes on the course this one features water, large bunkers, densely bordered but generous fairway and a substantially sized undulating green. After landing on the undulating fairway you will be faced with a long approach shot to a green that juts out into a sizeable lake. With water on the right and two large bunkers over the back the safe play here is to aim at the front left of the green. A back right pin placement will test even the most experienced and talented golfer.
